2014 German Grand Prix

In another crushing display of race winning prowess Nico Rosberg – starting from pole position – drove superbly to win the 2014 German grand prix at the Hockenheimring in his Mercedes F1 W05 Hybrid car.

The Williams driver Valtteri Bottas impressed once again with a strong second place finish crossing the line just under two seconds ahead of Lewis Hamilton. The Englishman driving his Mercedes through the field from a lowly 20th grid place start to take the final podium place.

A spectacular shunt at Turn 1 on the first lap between Williams driver Felipe Massa and McLaren's Kevin Magnussen caused an early race Safety Car period. The Williams driver's car turning-in and hitting the McLaren car with such force that the Williams car barrel rolled. Both drivers escaped unhurt.
