2014 Japanese Grand Prix

At a rain saturated Suzuka Circuit Englishman Lewis Hamilton took a stunning victory in his Mercedes F1 W05 Hybrid, beating his team mate Nico Rosberg in a straight fight for victory.

Starting in second place on the grid, Hamilton drove beautifully in the treachorous conditions hounding and eventually passing Rosberg around the outside of Turn 1 on lap 29.

Sebastian Vettel drove a solid race to finish third on the weekend when he announced he'd be leaving the Red Bull team at the end of the 2014 season.

A horrific shunt, in which Marussuia driver Jules Bianchi crashed in to a rescue vehicle, resulted in the race being stopped after 44 laps and the race result declared.
