2014 Canadian Grand Prix

In a stunning Canadian grand prix at Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve Red Bull's Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo took his first Formula 1 victory.

Taking the lead on the penultimate lap from Nico Rosberg, Ricciardo became the first non Mercedes winner of 2014.

The first half of the race saw hard fought battle between pole position starting Nico Rosberg and his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton before power train electrical trouble forced the Englishman to retire. Rosberg who's F1 MW 05 Hybrid developed the same problem on the same lap as Hamilton, expertly nursed his down-on-power car home to a podium finish.

A spectacular crash on the final lap involving Force India's Sergio Perez and Felipe Massa's Williams meant the race finsihed under Safety Car conditions.
